Wilmington now has a community holiday tree set up in our new town square park. This has been made possible by the hard work of Avalon Arts and Culture Alliance as well as the generous donations from SBCC and the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce. A big thank you to LA county Fire Department for giving us a helping hand, and also Jacob Haik from District 15 with the huge assist with the physical setup of the tree. The latest stay-at-home order meant we couldn’t host a community event for this tree lighting like we’d hope to, but at least we can still share some holiday cheer with everyone by placing this lovely display in the heart of the town. Please enjoy this space and we hope to see many pictures of you with you family and friends at the community tree!
