Austral Inspections Remains Open During COVID-19 To all of our respected clients, we are pleased to inform you that Austral Inspections is continuing to provide all of our regular services. We are taking extraordinary precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of all those on site during an inspection, including wearing PPE, face masks and using social distancing.... We are also excited to offer Virtual Inspections as an alternative, when in-person visits are not possible. Occupants may use a video conferencing device to give us a guided tour of the issues in their homes and we will type a detailed Report based on the visual inspection. Self Inspection Forms you may provide to your clients are available upon request. Please also visit our Instagram Page @austral_inspections for sample inspection photos that can service as a guide for tenants to shoot their own pictures. This will greatly help lawyers and non-profits evaluate case viability or what to convey to the ownership in terms of maintenance and repairs. Claudio, Thank you so much for your help on the case. We decided not to go into the conditions of the unit as it would be time consuming for the jury and only went to the daily damages in the case and not to the affirmative defenses. The most important thing was to make sure the jury understood that more than 4 people could legally live there and you did that. The jury returned a unanimous verdict in less than 90 minutes in favor of our clients. They told us they decided the case on dominant motive, i.e that dominant motive for the eviction was financial gain and not the reasons stated in the notice (subletting).
