Auntie Em's Edibles

At this point the bogus manufactured reasons for cannabis prohibition are well known. For those that don't, Harry Aslinger, Director of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics and who had previously been of the opinion that cannabis is safe, started demonizing it when alcohol prohibition was lifted and his bureau and job were on the chopping block. FDR, who was an old college buddy of Aslinger's, told him he had better figure out something for him and his people to do. So Aslinger pushed for the Uniform State Narcotic Drug Act and the Marijuana Tax Act, which passed in 1937, using false propaganda and the few crackpot doctors and scientists he could manage to find who were anti-cannabis. He was then able to hold on to his job for another 25 years.
