Beautiful Prayer for impossible results. St. Jude Is a great intercessor. He was a beautiful disciple of Christ , one the the original 12 (not Judas). Sadly he was Martyred as an old man, because he was a follower of JC. Many people don’t understand the Catholic habit of praying THROUGH the Saints. They think we pray TO them asking for them to solve our issue. WRONG. Saints were mere mortals, like us, living their lives as they saw fit. Some were born Pious, always loving an...d faithful to God. But others lived chunks of their lives terribly, selfishly, and as far from Christian virtues as possible. My namesake, St. Augustine, was a party animal and wayward son, before he did a 380 and became an advocate for Christ. Many saints were as common as you and I, but found God along the way and turned their most precious souls to His mercy in extraordinary ways and against all odds. Some died young, others old and many were Martyred for their faith. They were sainted after many years of death and after much research and validation Of the facts that the time they spent here was worthy of modeling Gods love, mercy and hope. They are role models, mentors and advocates. Their lives are to be admired and their stories are to give us hope. Just as our children come to this world through us and not from us, but we are charged with helping them in their journey, so to are the Saints. We don’t pray to them, but rather through them, asking for their special gifts that apply to what we are praying for. We humble ourselves as near mortal still figuring it out on this earth and we ask them to intercede and be there with us kind of virtually holding our hand as we approach the Almighty with our prayers. I don’t always pray to the Saints sometimes I just go directly to the big guy. But while I feel worthy of many things not the least of which is God’s love, I still recognize, others before me have a wisdom that humbled me to ask for their support. So just as I am able to humble myself professionally, by reading, studying and using consultants as mentors, and just as Ive humbled myself as a parent by listening to other parents, including my own, I often ask for the Saints to stand by me as I ask for favors or Ao thank God for answered prayers. Today I started a Novena asking St. Jude to intercede as I ask for a few favors that seem impossible. If you have an impossible need I heavily recommend using St. Jude as a consultant. Her empowering and earthy music has been describ...ed as a fusion of jazz, blues, folk and indie soul. As a performer, she sings, writes and plays rhythm jazz guitar.
