Auburn Elks PER Rhonda Rogers, Elks grant writer Carol VanNess, and Auburn Elks ER Jack Meylink (kneeling with a canine trainee) were given a tour by Michael King, far right in the first picture, of Canine Companions facility in Santa Rosa on Tuesday July 31st. After the tour, Michael was presented with a check for $2000.00 in the name of the organization to help them continue with the breeding, raising and training of dogs for, among other things, the specialty of helping veterans with PTSD. The dogs are provided free of charge to the veterans, as well as others with physical disabilities.
