There are many reason why the rehearsal is important, here are mine: 1. Everybody that is a key player in the Wedding Ceremony knows exactly where to go and how long it will take to get there. 2. Everybody in the wedding party,get to know each other. 3. Everybody gets a good idea on what they are supposed to do and where they are supposed to stand. The reheats dinner is the continuation of the points above. And yes do invite your Officiant and their spouse, let them experience your Wedding Party and Family dynamic, but do not be offended if they say no.
