Assisteens Gearing Up for a New Season Early in 2020, Assisteens were inspired and voted to support the Amerman Family Foundation dog therapy program at Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles. Assisteens purchased 137 embroidered, lightweight jackets using funds earned while working in the Bargain Box Thrift Shop. The jackets were recently delivered to the hospital for volunteers to wear during their therapy sessions. Assisteens are pleased to support such a worthwhile program. The new Assisteens season for 2020-2021 will kick off with registration opening Friday, August 21, 2020 at 12 noon. ALF Drama to Present Singin’ in the Rain JR. on March 6 Please join us for the ALFie Company production of Singin’ in the Rain JR. at the Lanterman Auditorium on Friday, March 6, at 7:00 PM. Adapted from the 1952 screenplay, Singin’ in the Rain, it has hilarious situations, snappy dialogue and a hit-parade score of Hollywood songs. Imaginative sets and lively choreography enhance the production that is appropriate for all ages. Twenty-five ALFie Company cast members, local students in grades 5 through 8, will perform under the direction of ALF Drama Director, Katelyn Fike. Tristan Waldron assists with song and dance numbers. Nancy Abbott is the accompanist. Admission is free and all are welcomed to attend. Lanterman Auditorium is located at 4491 Cornishon Avenue, La Cañada Flintridge.

ALF Summer School Opens Registration on March 2 For over 40 years, Assistance League of Flintridge has held our summer enrichment program for students entering grades 1-8. This year, the 4-week session will be from June 22 July 17, 2020 at La Cañada Elementary and La Cañada High School. Classes offered are intended for the joy of learning and there is no homework!
