We love helping our clients utilize their space so much that we included the Living Room Design for our Design It Forward Winner on top of designing their kitchen. They needed extra storage, bring their fireplace up to date and re-purpose an old TV Nook that has never been used. So excited to start decorating for Christmas pulled out the tree and the holiday decor boxes from the garage It's the first year we've been able to get festive for the holidays in our new home as last year for Christmas we were finally getting our kitchen installed (only took a year ) So excited to see how everyone is decorating their homes for the holiday season.

Coming back to work after the holidays is always a bit chaotic. It's times like these, when you want to make sure your clients are taken care of and their projects are progressing that you have to remind yourself to take care of yourself as well. I like to put reminders in phone to take breaks, walk around the neighborhood and take time to eat dinner with the hubby. ... What are your go to tips for taking care of yourself when life gets busy? Working through COVID... Does anyone else feel like everyday is the same and your finding harder and harder to separate your work from your personal life? We sure do. While we are thankful everyday that our clients continue to trust us with moving forward with their projects we are learning how to create and set in place boundaries to help us keep a good balance. Here are some tips that have helped us, but let us know what tools are helping you create a more balanced life... while working from home. Setting concrete working hours (do not enter your office until your work day is supposed to begin) If you have a spare bedroom, this is a great place to set up your office. At the end of the day you can close the door and switch to personal life Creating a morning routine (coffee, exercise, etc.) this helps your ease into the day Get out of your house, LOL while practicing safe social distancing and wearing a mask. It is so essential for your mental health to be in nature (whether its a beach, park, or a walk around your neighborhood) Let us know what's working for you! You might be wondering what that means exactly but we were able to condense a bunch of different apps into one! Email Sequence that is set up from the start Scheduling client calls and meetings Personalized Questionnaires ... Signing Contracts All our client info in one area that is easy to access After the contract is signed, we then move our clients over to #basecamp, an amazing app that lets us communicate with our client, share documents, and lets them see the progress, drawings, and notes all in one area that they can access 24/7! Our process always starts with the floor plan and the constraints of the architectural footprint. For a kitchen remodel we always start by laying out the cabinets and island if there is space. ... We then move on to elevations so the client can see where everything is going, and what will be placed in each drawer + cabinet. After the elevations have been approved, we create a 3D Model so the client can truly envision how their space will look and feel once construction is complete.
