Ashbury General Contracting & Engineering seeks two (2) creative and motivated individuals with strong backgrounds in Computer Aided Drafting for an internship. This is a great opportunity for a candidate's architecture and interior design skills to get implemented into actual development projects. Ashbury, a local San Francisco design-build firm, maintains its own skilled architect and designer on staff who will mentor the intern and assist him/her on executing many projects... over the course of the internship. The implementation of designs into effective CAD and 3D modeling representations is important for gathering investors. Creating multiple architectural designs for residential developments will challenge the intern to put his/her skills learned in school, as well as his/her creativity, to the test. The candidate should have a keen design sense, be skilled in CAD design, and profess competence in the technical aspects of architectural design. It is important that the candidate has experience with digital imaging, 3D digital modeling and an understanding of architectural construction techniques and documentation. The candidate should be familiar with kitchen and bath design, patio/garden design, and interior finishes and materials. We prefer candidates that have focused their studies on residential architecture and interior architecture and design.
