Fall Notes from our School Garden We are so blessed to be a Nature Explore Certified School! During this time of Covid, many people have turned to gardening as a source of sustenance and hope. Our students know how to grow food and love their vegetable boxes! These are some of the winter vegetables they have planted by seed this autumn: -lettuce (we can’t wait to eat salads) -kale (kale chips are very popular on campus) -snap peas (always prolific and always a favorite)... -broccoli (we see broccoli cheddar soup in our future) -carrots (pass the ranch, please) One of our favorite seed sources is Seed Savers Exchange - check them out if you want to order your own seeds. Students also got to sample a fun autumn/holiday drink. Pastor Chamie harvested some of the pomegranates and rosemary on campus... Recipe: put a sprig of rosemary in a clear glass, add some pomegranate seeds, pour in sparkling apple cider, and then enjoy a fun and festive drink! It’s all part of the Ascension Advantage!
