Orthodox Christian Friends I love this guy. This is Steve Christoforou and he is the director of the Youth and Young Adult ministry (Y2AM). He is also known a...s the Be the Bee guy. I’ve used his videos in my Sunday school classes over the past 10 years. Here’s his latest message, which I found to be very helpful: "I’ve been talking to a lot of people the last couple weeks. And I keep hearing one basic thing: Now more than ever, people are struggling with their spiritual lives. Maybe you’re finding it hard to connect with the services online. Maybe you’re finding it tough to keep a regular prayer rule. Maybe you’re finding it hard to be kind to family when you’re all cooped up under one roof. For many of us Lent seems, well, Lent-ier. Is the solution to white-knuckle it and try harder? That’s not the lesson we learn in this Sunday’s Gospel (Mark 9:17-31). In this week’s reading, Jesus sends out His disciples to cast out demons. But they fail. And they’re incredibly embarrassed by this! (I would be too, wouldn’t you?) I’d probably beat myself up, stress myself out, and try harder. But when they ask Jesus why they failed, that’s not what He says. Instead, Jesus tells them: This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer and fasting. (Mark 9:29) We need to be careful and remember why these practices of the Christian life matter. Because Jesus isn’t simply telling His disciples to do more or try harder. Jesus is telling His disciples that the real question isn’t what they can do: it’s what He can do through them." Keep the faith, everyone - we'll get through this together, thanks be to God!

Rededication service 2020

We are all so proud of these lovely young ladies who inspired us with their commitment to Christ this morning.

We’ve been busy making Prosforo for tomorrow’s Godparent’s Sunday. Be sure to be on time to be inspired by these lovely young ladies who will be rededicating themselves to Christ right after the Gospel reading.
