ENDING SEPTEMBER WITH A BANG ... Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 23, the "Wildcards" closed the month out on a high note with over 65 donors processed and 50 good units of blood collected at their ASBP blood drive on Sept. 30. Blood drive coordinator AM2 Rose rallied her squadron and other nearby squadrons to put much needed blood on the shelves. AM1 Harney knows the importance of blood donations. Harney's son was born several months premature and spent 105 days in the NICU. D...uring that time the baby needed a blood transfusion. His son is now a "walking, talking" active 14 month old little boy. He donates as a way of saying thanks to those who helped save his son's life. AD2 Keeter also knows why regular blood donations are a critical component to the life of a patient having received blood during a emergency c section.
