Excellent article on the shortage of appliance repair technicians. "...unlike HVAC or other trades, appliance repair isn’t taught in most vocational curriculums though some in the business think that could be about to change."

There is a shortage of Appliance Repair Technicians! Would be so helpful if trade schools were promoted!

Happy Earth Day! Repairing your appliances when they brake rather than purchasing new ones is a form of recycling and helps keep bulky appliances out of our landfills. Repairing is frequently your most economic option, as well. If there's any question, however, please allow us to help you determine your best option. Repairing can help keep those greens in your pocketbook - so GREEN in more ways than one!

We want you to know we are open and here to serve your in-home appliance service needs. We also want you to know that we’re taking precautionary measures to ensure that we can continue to do so safely. Although our area has Shelter in Place and Stay at Home orders, we are considered an essential business needed to maintain the infrastructure of communities. We are therefore authorized to continue operations for maintaining the safety, sanitation, food preservation, and essen...tial operation of residences. That being said, we want you to know we are following these recommended preventative measures for everyone's safety & protection: 1. Prior to scheduling service appointments, we are verifying that no one in the home has had Covid-19 symptoms (i.e. a temperature, chills or respiratory symptoms), contact with a positive Covid-19 person or travel in the past 2 weeks. 2. Requiring technicians and customers to follow the CDC recommendation for social distancing - to maintain a minimum of 6 feet distance from each other at all times. 3. Requiring technicians to wear gloves & masks and to wipe down work surfaces with disinfectant. 4. Asking customers to isolate vulnerable residents, including children & elderly, in a separate room during the service appointment. 5. Asking customers to provide a clean sink with warm water and soap for our technician for hand washing. Although things are unpredictable at the moment, one thing has remained constant - appliances continue to break and our customers continue needing repairs. In fact, with the increase in time folks are spending at home (home schooling, working & cooking), we’ve seen an increase in demand for repairs.
