We so appreciate our Arts Educators Group community standing with us during this difficult time. Since our largest constituency is families, I wanted to pass on this wonderful example of VALUING COMMUNITY in light of the values that we teach our children "What would my Mom think of that?" In a race, (see picture), athlete Abel Mutai representing Kenya, was just a few feet from the finish line, but he was confused with the signage & stopped thinking he had completed the race.... The Spanish athlete, Ivan Fernandez was right behind him & realizing what was happening, he started shouting at the Kenyan for him to continue running; but Mutai didn't know Spanish didn't understand. Then the Spanish pushed him to victory. A journalist asked Ivan, "Why did you do that?" Ivan replied, "My dream is that someday we can have a kind of community life". The journalist insisted "But why did you let the Kenyan win?" Ivan replied, "I didn't let him win, he was going to win". The journalist insisted again, "But you could have won!" Ivan looked at him & replied, "But what would be the merit of my victory? What would be the honour of that medal? What would my Mom think of that?" Values are transmitted from generation to generation. What values are we teaching our children? Let us not teach our kids the wrong ways & means to WIN" https://lnkd.in/dZiMmZm Via Birad Rajaram Yajnik See more

two of our Music School former teachers sang on this Bay Area Blessing song and a spouse of one of our teachers
The Bay Area (and the nation) needs God's blessing and help. Two of our former teachers (Tatiana & Joann) and one current teacher's husband are some of the wonderful worship leaders from dozens of churches joining in song to bless the Bay Area in this inspiring rendition!

Hey! Did you wash your hands yet? Here are some songs to make it more fun! Take a listen and sing along! Lyrics Half a Minute Waltz Turn the water on and start your hands a rubbin’... Now it’s time to soap ‘em up and start to scrubbin’ You must work it up into a lather, Even though I know that you would rather, Be outside where there is dirt for you to play, But now’s the time for your to send the dirt away. So both your hands should wash away your troubles. Let your fingers dance among the bubbles. Keep a steady pace and please try not to fidget, Clean your thumbs and don’t forget to scrub each digit. Now it’s time to concentrate upon your nails, For that is where the dirt can leave its secret trails. Now it’s finally time for turning off the faucet. Use a paper towel, then in the trash you’ll toss it. To stay healthy this is what the world commands. Bravo to you! You washed your hands! -------------------------------------- Twenty Seconds! Twenty seconds isn’t long, Barely time to sing this song. There’s no time to get it wrong, Not in twenty seconds! All that’s left is fourteen secs, To try to do what I must next. I can’t talk, please send a text! I’ve only fourteen seconds. Twenty seconds, now is five, So kick it into overdrive! Ain’t it great to say that I’ve, Washed my hands for twenty seconds!

I just voted for Arts Educators Group as the best place for Services for Specials Needs and for The Music Place as best Music Class in Silicon Valley. I am so grateful to our supporters who last year helped us win the GOLD Medal in this category. Help us do it again no matter where you live-- at this link--(Choose Silicon Valley.) https://www.bayareaparent.com/Best-Of-The-Best/Nominations/ Thank you!
The power of music with others cannot be underestimated. An article citing various studies of the power of music and specifically choral music is thought provoking. The link at the end leads to a lovely choral circle which although not all the voices are entirely in tune, is still inspiring.
Our children are all wonderfullly unique just like we are! I love that we do not all POP at the same time. Thanks to our wonderful Arts Educators Group team for the multiple ways in which they embrace all abiltiies and disabilities!
