Hi All. I need to ask EVERYONE to order take-out or delivery food from your local restaurants. My business, Art's Deli has been greatly impacted along with al...l of the other family run restaurants in our community. The dine-in part of Art’s Deli represents of 60% of our business. That was eliminated by decree in one minute. I had to layoff our 10 servers, 5 minutes after the Mayor’s announcement on Sunday night. I am sure that all of my friends who own restaurants are doing the same. Miceli's Italian Restaurant I grew and played Little League with Frank Miceli, please call them and order some of their food for dinner. Order some yogurt from Marla Menchie's Sherman Oaks. Call Casa Vega Restaurant how many of us spent hours eating and drinking there together. We all need your support NOW, considering that there is a real possibility that we will have to do this social distancing thing for at least a few months or longer which may mean that none of us will be able to dine out at a restaurant for a long time. I have been busy working and have not had to personally deal with the grocery shopping. We have plenty of food every day as do all of my restaurant friends in their restaurants. I can’t emphasize enough the devastating impact this loss of business is for all of us in the food business. This is real, this is not just an economic downturn that we can all bounce back from. We don’t know how this will all play out. The restaurant landscape in the US will be changed forever if this goes on for an extended period of time. Tell your friends who don’t live around here to order take-out from their local favorite restaurants in their own communities as well. We have always looked at Art’s Deli as an extension of our living room with all of you there over the years. Don’t forget about us. Please, call us, order something online at our website, or through one of our delivery partners Postmates, etc. I want to be able to keep supporting my remaining loyal, dedicated, hard working employees with a paycheck.
