Rhonda and Colton discuss the Veterans of Color, Merced project and how you can submit photos, artwork, and biographies of your favorite veteran, active duty, o...r first responder of color. This can be done directly through our website at https://vetsofcolormerced.weebly.com/ or via email at, [email protected]. We've received a few submissions but would like a lot more. Our Mission... Our veterans of color are our pride and joy whom we seek honor with integrity and reverence. We seek to create shared spaces, events and art to honor our local vets of color in the hopes that we will show our community the innumerable and invaluable ways we all benefit from their service and membership. Not just for our persons of color but for the entire community so that we can all take pride in the wealth of knowledge, resources, resiliency and grit we have standing in our midst. Our greatest hope is that our efforts create resonance between different people in our community on the common ground that our vets are valuable, heroes who have or are serving with their lives for the benefit of all, as courage is not just something anyone group of people possess, it's something all vets possess. #vetsofcolor #mercedvets #veterans
