Detox Tip of the Day: CHIA SEEDS Chia seeds have more vegetarian omega 3s (ALA) than any other food and are packed with vitamin E. They have 10 grams of solub...le fiber and only 138 calories per 28 g serving. Chia seeds absorb 10 times their weight in water forming a gel that suppresses the appetite and regulates transit time. Plus, they taste delicious! You can add them to smoothies, soups and salads. My favorite is chia pudding. Simply add 2 cups of organic almond milk to 3 tbl of chia seeds. Let it sit for 5 mins to absorb the liquid, then stir. Add a dash of honey, cinnamon and fresh fruit if desired :-) There are several AWESOME chia pudding recipes in "The Simply Raw Kitchen" <3
