We're delighted to work with LS Art Project on this virtual gallery hop around LA. #lisarosenberg
Put faces to famous names, read the hieroglyphs, and study the objects from an amazing time of cultural exchange between ancient Egypt and its neighbors. Join us at the Getty Museum this Saturday (August 11). Get a personalized tour of the exhibition "Beyond the Nile: Egypt and the Classical World" with Egyptologist Marissa Stevens. Marissa holds a Ph.D. in the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures from UCLA. She specializes in Egyptian social history, ancient tex...ts, and art history. Art Muse LA is spending a lot of quality time at the Hammer this summer! Every Saturday, in July and August, we're providing tours of the exhibition "Made in LA 2018" at 1pm. To make this involvement even more satisfying, the tours are presented in 9 languages. See the schedule below and join us!
Happy July 4th! Three silent cubes-- red, white, and blue-- reside in a gallery in downtown LA. Visit them @hauserwirth this week.
Hi Everyone! I'm looking forward to our tour this Saturday in Hollywood. Did you get your tickets yet? They're available here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/gallery-hop-hollywood-tickets-
Last Saturday we immersed in the art of painting, including the patterned canvases of Alec Egan at Anat Ebgi Gallery. Big thanks to muse Lindsay Preston Zappas for such an awesome gallery hop of Culver City!
On May 5th meet us at MoCA for a close look at legendary photographers Brassaï, Diane Arbus, and Nan Goldin. Art muse and artist Regina Mamou will walk us through "Real Worlds" which presents three bodies of work: 1930s Paris at night through the lens of Brassaï, 1960s New York in the unsettling portraits of Arbus, and an intimate, visceral view of the life of Goldin and her friends from the 1970s and 80s. Regina explores the exhibition from the unique perspective of a photographer. Tickets are available here: http://ow.ly/VYAG30jEVae #GetInspired #GetArtMuseLA
Thank you Sara Stevens for a fun and insightful tour at LACMA looking at "Fashion in Art Through the Ages!" You reminded us of the important role clothing and accessories play in our society both historically and in the present. Who knew that something as simple as lipstick could indicate whether a country was thriving or struggling? Can't wait for the next art/fashion/history tour!
On Saturday, April 21, artist, critic, and art muse Lindsay Preston Zappas guides us on a Culver City gallery hop. The three selected galleries offer a range of figurative and narrative painting. For example, the luscious paintings of Alec Egan at Anat Ebgi Gallery bring a certain nostalgia for domestic space with the use of wallpaper patterns and the continual appearance of everyday subjects, such as a stack of books or a pair of reading glasses. The walking tour also includes visits to Susanne Vielmetter LA Projects and Blum & Poe Gallery. Tickets are available here: http://ow.ly/PDAj30jiLma #GetInspired #GetArtMuseLA
