How expressive they look and yes, they are super interesting, you will wonder what would they be up to! Cassia you have created beautiful artwork that also raises curiosity and appreciation in the viewer. Your love for animals brings to our attention the wide variety of species that flourish in different p...arts of the world. Brilliant work! you explored and demonstrated understanding of shapes, proportion, form, color, contrast, analogous colors, space, symmetrical and asymmetrical balance, idea of change and movement, while creating unity and more. Processes used were idea development, inquiry, 2D representation, sketching, value study, composition, layering. Most important, Cassia enjoyed working on the series and we had fun working with these cute and curious monkeys <3 hear about the series in Cassia's own words below: "When I was walking in the Pana’ewa Rainforest Zoo Hawaii, this type of monkey caught my eye. It was the Colobus monkey, I really liked them. This was the inspiration for this series. They are interesting because of the black and white fur and long fluffy tail. When I painted the color stripes on the first painting of the series to show spring, I decided to continue the style. I decided to express seasons with numerous different colorful stripes and colors of the season in an abstract way throughout the seasons with the playful monkeys in different poses. I wonder what they would be thinking" Medium: Acrylic Size: 4 paintings of 9" X 12"
