University of California, Irvine is excited announce a new endowed chair in Zoroastrianism. The new professor will join our Elahé Omidyar Mir-Djalali Presidential chair in ancient Iranian Art and Archaeology, our Masseh Chair in ancient Iranian History, and the Baskerville Chair of Persian Culture. This is the largest concentration of such endowed positions in North America and cements UCI’s status as the leader in research and teaching in ancient Iranian Studies in the US. One of the best models... of our project, and I think it is the best 3D reconstruction of the Pantheon ever. PS: At present, the design of the dome is based on a 17th century sketch from workshop of Carlo Fontana.
