Amazing story about the restoration of an 1893 redwood constructed building in Eureka given at the California Preservation Foundation Conference in Palo Alto.

Attended a Central Library discussion on the LAPL Photo Collection. Learned that the collection started in the 1940s and today has over 3.4 million photos of which 124,000 are currently online, like this one of the Pico House in 1938 from the Security Pacific National Bank Collection. The collection will be moving to a new online platform soon. You can also email them if you are researching and not finding quite what you are looking for.
