About the Beer Excerpt from the Armistice Employee Handbook (Section 10, Part C Tips & Gratuity, Subsection 3.2d): The first two hours you’re working for taco money. On Taco Tuesdays the tip jar reaches the taco money threshold fast because four tacos only sets you back eight bucks. Slow nights can take longer, and even longer still if your fellow bartender is also eyeing their portion of the tip jar for taco money. On busy nights you’ll make taco money hand-over-fist but you won’t have time to spend it until after the rush has subsided and sometimes that’s not until after the truck has left. On those nights, spend your taco money after close at Flor de Jalisco, and maybe treat yourself again the next morning at La Raza. This one is worthy of the name: a big, hazy double IPA that’s packed with Citra and, our newish favorite, Strata. It’s an intense combination of tangerine peel and tropical fruit. We’re waiting for our trophy. About Deader than You It’s not our first triple, but it is our first hazy triple. And at 11%, it provides its own exit strategy. Massive dry hop additions of Azacca, Citra, Mosaic, and Ekuanot result hair-raising aromas of candied orange, diesel, and pine tar.

Return of the Crag! Halloween Release We’re having a DOUBLE Can Release at our Halloween Party this year! Introducing: Aggro Crag Hazy Double IPA, 9% ABV. This DIPA will be released next to another heavy hitter, Deader Than You, Hazy TRIPLE IPA.... About the Beer Do-do-do you have it? GUTS! Remember that shit? The action sports game show on Nickelodeon? Mike O’Malley, and that British woman they insisted was named Mo? They were the best. The final trial was always the Aggrocrag the radical rock where anything could happen! Foam-rock avalanches! Slime floods, Glitter storms! It was wild! If you grew up watching these sorts of sport fantasies, you probably ended up on American Ninja Warrior or, in our case, you ended up streaming it. Turns out, we do have guts: beer guts. About the Beer 2020 is legitimately terrifying, and so when we saw Halloween on our calendars we wondered how we were supposed to feel about it. Can it get scarier? Can we manufacture some cute little scaries in a year marked by fear fatigue? Is there some sinkhole beneath this race to the bottom? In this hellish game of limbo, the bar is so low it’s subterranean. Our challengers are charnel housemates. We’re all already dead. I’m dead. You’re dead. I’m deader than you. We saw a sign at Homegoods that said dO sOmEtHiNg EvErYdAy ThAt ScArEs YoU! and we were like, nah, we’re good. If that’s just middleclass, self-improvement talk for try something new I guess we can muster this: a triple IPA. DOUBLECAN RELEASE THIS TUESDAY Can 1 of 2 Re-introducing: Citra Salad, Single Hop Hazy IPA. We love our 2019 Citra, but alas all good things must come to an end . Next time out, Citra Salad will be the 2020 crop: PSA: This tragic statistic bears repeating -- every fourteen minutes, a cis-white-vegan-woman (CWVW) dies from lettuce asphyxiation. The medical community has correlated this high mortality rate among CWVW with cultural, rather than biological, determinate...s. The co-occurring behaviors of laughing and salad-eating put CWVW at elevated risks of choking. Here at Armistice, we’re serious about prevention, so we developed a safer way for this vulnerable population to consume their leafy greens. This IPA is packed full of six pounds per barrel of hand-selected Citra hops. Now CWVW don't have to choose between their health and their safety. They can drink their salads by the pint! While our beers aren’t nearly as dangerous as salads, please avoid laughing while drinking to mitigate the risk of drowning. Try smiling! Just kidding. Never ask a woman to smile. You might be aware that Gregory is kind of into espresso, an interest stemming from his love of all things Italian motorsports, bolognese, very small scooters, etx. He clocks his stats pulling shots with the obsession of an endurance athlete chasing that PR. Right now he’s shooting for 15 g in, 30 g out, somewhere between 28-29 seconds. We used the same precision crafting this beer. An extended boil leaves it with the viscosity of spoon-coating sauce. Then we circulated it on an entire, dearly purchased pound of Tahitian vanilla beans and perfectly roasted, freshly ground espresso from our friends at Equator Coffees. The result is a slightly less sweet version of a pastry stout that’s rich and toasty, but thick and creamy. See more
