Signing of an agreement between Armenian Educational Foundation and GITC to fund the creation of an AEF "Deep Engineering Learning Laboratory and Program" in Gyumri Polytechnic High School. This initiative is designed to provide mechanical and electrical engineering skills using a combination of hardware and software curriculum taught by instructors from Engineering companies that will commute from Yerevan to Gyumri on daily basis as part of this program. AEF’S NEWLY RENOVATED ARTIK SCHOOL For decades the students and faculty at the dilapidated No. 4 school, in the City of Artik, Shirak Region, Armenia, have been dreaming of a renovated, up to date, and safe environment. Today, it is finally a reality. Today’s global circumstances put more pressure on Armenian villages by threatening their mere existence. Therefore, it is important to keep Armenians strongly connected with their land. The cost of renovation for the Artik s...chool and kindergarten was $230,000. AEF STUDENT HIGHLIGHT Davit Akofyan, Law School Ilia State University, Georgia... The biggest problem for Armenians living in Javakhk has been not knowing the language of the country. For this reason, substantial numbers of youth who want to get educated are not accepted by higher institutions. Consequently, they are forced to leave the country and look elsewhere for work to support their families. Education plays an invaluable role in a person’s life, the life of the nation, community and society. Armenian Educational Foundation’s role of providing scholarship for students in Javakhk is vital to our survival. Armenians living in Javakhk cannot defend their rights or benefit from government programs. With my higher education and law degree, I will have the right tools to help them receive their rightful government assistance much needed. At present, I am in the faculty’s second course studying law. I plan to live in Georgia as a respectable Armenian Georgian and to become an asset to my nation.
