I am currently residing at Harbor Shelter but I sure would love to go home with you! In fact, I have lived in homes before and I am house-trained, walk well on a leash, I take treats gently and I was even a companion to a child with autism. I did extremely well with autistic son and allowed him to climb all over me and pull on my ears. I am a sensitive soul and being left by my families at the shelter has me feeling very anxious especially when I am alone in my kennel. I don't like returning to my kennel and sometimes bite the leash. I get very stressed out being alone with all the barking noise and no human companionship. Meet Cleopatra! This gorgeous gal with the windswept ears is easygoing and friendly and likes to chill with volunteers in the yard. She soaks up attention like a snuggly sponge and will sit contentedly by your side watching the clouds roll by. He was surrendered in 2019 due to landlord issues and now Meeko's last owner died. Meeko really deserves a break! Despite everything Meeko is the happiest boy! He is a super friendly, tail-wagging boy who enjoys spending time with volunteers. Meeko loves to wiggle his whole body and leaps in the air (not high) at the same time. We call it his little dance move. He gets so happy to be out of the kennel and run with a big smile on his face. He LOVES rolling on his back on the grass and get a belly rub from us simultaneously. He pulls hard on his leash and he needs help with his leash skills. He knows his sit, stay and shake commands, and is house-trained. He's a big goofy ham and we love him! WE LOVE UPDATES!!! Gillian Hernandez shared: Andersen has been doing fantastic. His patella injury is fully healed from home physical therapy. Andersen went from a unfriendly dog to both children and other dogs to tolerating now. He just needed time, love, space, and guidance. I’ve said it many times, these dogs have been through a lot and you can’t give up if you commit. He now enjoys life in Vermont with his brother Cedric and my nephew Brenden. He’s happy and at peace with himself. We just celebrated his 6th birthday, 3rd gotcha day.

Say hello to Smokey! Smokey is a gentle boy with a big head and a big heart to match. He’s super friendly and engaging and despite being in a shelter he’s always happy, always wagging his tail, and always ready to climb into your lap for some snuggles. WE LOVE UPDATES!!! Kristen Reyes shared: I adopted Blue last December and together with my other two Harbor Shelter rescues (Maya and Gonzo), we are living the life. We regularly travel to Southern Utah where we go hiking and exploring. Blue loves the water and hunting for rocks while he’s in it. He’ll whine and bark until he finds that special boulder. Once he does, he’ll carry it with him everywhere. Blue Bird is my senior gentle giant and I love every moment we spend together. He was very out of shape and weak when I brought him home from the shelter, but he’s now strong and can easily hike 4 miles on our outings. It’s been so rewarding to watch him thrive. He knows he found his forever home and adores his brother and sister. Thank you Harbor Shelter for another awesome pup!

Meet Rocky. Sadly his owners surrendered him after 11 years of loyalty. Rocky was an outdoor dog and he has a skin condition but he is healthy for an 11 year old senior. Rocky appears to be sad and confused that he is at the shelter. He sometimes softly whines and he is feeling the sting of being abandoned. He walks nicely on leash. His owner said he lived with a german shepherd and describes him as friendly. Rocky deserves better! We hope someone sees our post and decides to... give Rocky a home. He has not had much his whole life and we hope someone gives him the best golden years.
