This course will certify students in Lifeguard Training, First Aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer. In addition to first aid and CPR skills, class covers water rescues, professionalism, prevention, and many other topics to prepare participants for a job as a lifeguard. Today marks the end of our Distance Learning Program at Canyon View Community Center. For months, our dedicated Youth Services Staff has worked long and tiring hours to provide a safe and healthy environment for students while schools were in Distance Learning and Hybrid models. ARD is so proud of our staff for managing hundreds of students and hundreds of schedules throughout the Fall and early Winter. Staff persevered through countless challenges, technical problems and inter-agency hurdles. ARD continues to serve our community in a variety of ways and our Youth Services Department has been a stellar example of such service. www.auburnrec.com

Donations for the Santa's Toy Chest three day event are starting to come in! We want to thank our first group of local businesses Auburn Alehouse Craft Brewery & Restaurant, Auburn Toyota, and Roper's Jewelers for their generous donations for Santa's Toy Chest! Stay tuned next week as we will be announcing a lot more local businesses that have donated to the event. The chest is going to be packed. Here is how Santa's Toy Chest will work:... The event will take place over the course of three days from December 21-23. Each day of the event, ARD staff will hide 50 keys in a designated park. Only one of those hidden keys will be able to open a special chest that will be located at the park where the keys are hidden. Inside Santa’s chest will be prizes and toys from local sponsors and vendors. Each day of the event will feature a new Santa’s chest. Participants can only win one time. The special announcement for what park the keys will be hidden at will be announced each morning on our district website and social media platforms at 8am. Make sure you follow us online!
