On March 4th, the Academy of Friends had their annual Gala where they live screened the 2018 Academy Awards. The theme for this year was "the circus" and intermingled with the illustrious guests on the top floor of the AMC Metreon were contortionists, clowns, unicylcers, and life-sized marionettes. The food wasn't too bad either. As stated on their website, the purpose of the gala was to "raise funds, award donations, and encourage volunteerism that benefit a diverse set of HIV/AIDS organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area".

And of course Archive Productions was there taping every minute of it. All hail the new King and Queen of the Imperial Council!

Interesting insight from one of the panelists: "I tend to believe that all sex involving people with disabilities is inherently queer because it breaks so many boundaries regardless of the gender, sexual identity of the people involved".
