Arce Engines is looking for an automotive machining and repair technician in a full time postion. Candidate must be clean, neat and organized in work ethics. Must be able to lift cylinder heads and crankshafts. Mechanical ability is required along with math skills. Own tools are not required at this level. Should have some knowledge of auto repair and knowledge of some automotive machining. Email resume to [email protected]

I know everyone hates paying sales tax and you have all been buying outside the state of California to avoid them but, that is now changing. This change has put many local businesses in position for an opportunity to compete with online services so, please give your local businesses an opportunity to serve you. This particular pop up shown is from Summit Racing.

So the customer spends and brings a $4K rotating assembly, no one does the math on weights and I spend 3.5 hours balancing the assembly which is fine by me but, it seems a little wasteful. Came out nice!!!

The decisions I have to make to balance a set of $700 Manley pistons for 2 grams.....it's just a question, would you be upset if I took the material off in the arrow areas?

This cylinder head was at another shop and they tried to 3 way cut the seats and sank them about .075". So we had to go in and remove all 16 valve seats and replace them....what a job!
