Join us from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, on Zoom (Meeting ID: 832 8604 8368; passcode: 273579) for an information session on the University’s fully online bachelor of science... in Career and Technical Studies. The program requires only 14 classes, 40 units and nine units of upper division. Applicants must carry a minimum 2.0 GPA. Students can earn up to 30 elective units for work experience towards a degree with three years’ full-time work experience and a minimum 2.0 GPA. Employees and supervisors from diverse occupational fields have graduated from this program, including Sacramento State staff, workers in the Los Rios College District, law enforcement, and finance. Application fee waivers are still available for students who qualify. Fee waivers are available to applicants pursuing their first bachelor’s degree and consider CA their permanent home. In addition, to income information there are several fields used to determine fee waiver eligibility. To view the eligibility criteria, mistakes to avoid and the detailed Application Fee Waiver Checklist please visit: https://www2.calstate.edu//paying-fo/Pages/fee-waiver.aspx. Applicants who qualify are be able to apply for up to four campuses without paying any application fees. Application fee waiver appeals are also still available. If a student’s family has experienced a significant change in income between 2019 income, reported on their application, and 2020 they may qualify for an application fee waiver appeal. Fee waiver appeals are handled by the individual CSU campuses. The student would need to contact each campus(es) they are interested in applying. Sac State’s Fall 2021 Admission Application Fee Waiver Appeal due date has been extended to January 7, 2021: https://www.csus.edu//_documen/app-fee-waiver-with-csu.pdf You cannot submit your Cal State Apply Application and then submit an application fee waiver appeal because the fee waiver appeal needs to be reviewed and approved prior to a student submitting their Cal State Apply Application. If a student’s Application Fee Waiver Appeal is approved, they will be contacted ...by the Sac State Admissions Office with instructions on how to submit their Cal State Apply Application prior to the application deadline. For all other CSU campuses, please refer students to contacting each CSU campus’s admissions office of where they applied to ask if they are still accepting fee waiver application appeals and to ask what their instructions are for their campus’s application fee waiver appeal.
