It’s been a really tough week for our community. Many are evacuated, many lost their homes, and the stress and fatigue of 2020 are clearly evident. At the same time I’ve been really happy to see the tremendous outpouring of support from so many people caring for the displaced and their pets. The volunteers at the Fairgrounds have been tireless. The public has really responded to any request by the Santa Cruz Animal Shelter or SPCA for goods or assistance. I've been overwhelme...d by the generosity and concern shown by my customers and vendors. With their support we’ve been able to donate much more than we could have on our own. Thank you to all who have donated time, money, animal feed, and supplies to those in need. I would also like to thank the volunteers, firefighters from far and wide, and the community in general for stepping up and making this tragedy bearable. The commitment we have for the well being of each other is what matters and is what gets us through these difficult times. It gives me hope for our future. Thank you, Damian

3/19/20 What a crazy week! Things are starting to settle down. We are low on some supplies but not too bad and expect deliveries on Friday and perhaps Saturday. We have worked out the kinks in the prepay-by-phone-deliver-to-your-car system and so we will be returning to regular store hours. I am however willing to do whatever is needed, so do not hesitate to ask. Thanks for the kind words, I’m really appreciating my customers more than ever. Damian
