The construction industry is one of the planet’s worst offenders in terms of non-biodegradable waste. But if we work together, we can lessen the impact - construction companies, architects, engineers, and business owners all have the power. For one, reduce your project’s demolition footprint by reusing, recycling, selling or even donating materials, fixtures and equipment that you don’t have use for. All these options are superior to contributing to the local landfill. Thes...e old studs from one of our projects are now being recycled as firewood. #getgreennow #higheruse #wevegotthepower #lessentheimpact #everydayisearthday #smallerfootprint #reducereuserecycle #constructionindustry #demolition https://apsgc.com/green-building-the-paper-straws-of-const/

Considering a commercial property or in the midst of a commercial property deal? There is not always an advocate for the lessee in the lease negotiation process. Learn how hiring a design-build general contractor can help guide you and save tens, or even hundreds, of thousands of dollars on the front end of your deal. (You'll probably have to hire one anyway to get your new space ready for opening day!) Here's what to consider before you sign: https://apsgc.com/the-big-3-before-you-sign-the-lease/

Location: San Marcos, CA Type: Restaurant Size: 1,400sf Budget: $244,000 APS contributed both project management and construction to the fast-paced production calendar of Lourdes Mexican Food Inc. in San Elijo Hills, the newest addition to this multi-location, rave-reviewed Mexican eatery. The main challenge was to maintain a tight timeline and move as swiftly as possible to complete this TI. In the face of the challenges presented by accommodating all necessary changes and updates to the plans and documentation with the City of San Marcos, it was an overall triumph (and so is Lourdes' chicken soup)! Location: San Marcos, CA Type: Gym & Fitness Size: 2,500sf Budget: $360,000 APS completed the build-out of this new Rush Cycle franchise location in San Marcos, including plans, permits, and construction. We worked diligently with the tenant franchisee to utilize existing infrastructure in the space, previously a Radio Shack, in an effort to reduce costs. For example, APS was able to maintain existing plumbing locations and updating the existing restroom spaces, a move that saved nearly $15,000 in additional expenses. https://apsgc.com/rush-cycle-san-marcos/

We're back with another round of currently available restaurant space specimens for you to check out for your restaurant business plans. Why showcase available restaurant properties, specifically? Existing restaurant real estate can be ideal for new restaurateurs seeking available space on a budget. That’s because restaurant locations that are closing, but are already outfitted for an operational restaurant business, can leave behind $200-300k in new construction equivalent value in the form of plumbing, ventilation, electrical, grease traps and otherwise. Location: The Hub, Hillcrest Type: Gym & Fitness Size: 3,200sf Budget: $440,000 This project was an expansion on an existing Barry's Bootcamp franchise location in popular The Hub, Hillcrest. The unique challenge for APS was integrating their existing space with the newly requisitioned plans with minimal downtime. Part of the work was completed while the doors were open, not a feat unfamiliar to the APS team. [ 68 more words ] https://apsgc.com/barrys-bootcamp/

Why do we have art, why do we make art, and why is it important? A brief Google search demonstrates that these questions are burning holes in many a human mind. At APS, we’re contemplating the same thing as we’ve recently added Public Art Installation to our Service Menu. We aren’t just into artistic displays and custom fabrication installs because they look cool, though. [ 1,443 more word ] https://apsgc.com/meeting-the-need-for-art/
