My roommates were also interested, so we decided to go to the orientation session together, and instantly I knew that this was the community I wanted to be a part of. Through APHC, I have been able to develop my interest in the health fields, as well as learning more about the issues that are pertinent to the API community. 2020-2021 Director Spotlight Our next Director Spotlight is: Calvin Nguyen... : Finance Director : 2nd : MIMG : Arcadia, California : Drawing, Composing Music, Playing Video Games, Teaching History, Voice Acting / : Vincent van Gogh is awesome. My musical preference is the living embodiment of ragtag, but I love video game and movie soundtracks! : I like writing short stories and coming up with story ideas for video games, but an actual comprehensible finished product is still pending. I also have double-jointed fingers. It’s a fun party trick. / : In high school, I was a part of the Speech and Debate team. It was such a tight knit community, and when I came to UCLA, I wanted to find another organization that was like a second family away from family. When I came upon APHC during the Enormous Activities Fair, it seemed just like another ordinary pre-med club. However, I decided to give it a chance, and went to the final day of Welcome Week to see what it was all about! That was by far the best decision I have made in college, and will probably ever make in college. I have found so many loving friends that I treasure deeply, and I truly feel like I have found my calling here at APHC. : Winter retreat! By far the most fun and wholesome experience I had this past year :) See more
