#Lisfranc injury - This is a serious injury involving a fracture of the first metatarsal and tearing of the ligaments between the forefoot and midfoot. This patient had his foot stepped on just as he attempted to change directions. Rehabilitation of this injury will probably be a 3-6 month process and involve regaining normal range of motion and mobility of the entire foot/ankle as well as strengthening and balance training.
