Expiration dates don’t necessarily mean the date by which your food is no longer good. In a lot of cases, they are only the dates by which quality (taste, texture) can no longer be guaranteed. The best judge of whether or not your food is still good to eat? Your own judgment. Use common sense, nature’s gut check: Does it look ok? Does it smell ok?... Does it taste ok? If the answer is yes to all three, you’re most likely in the clear.
