**Meet Your Recruiter** Administrative Analyst Ana Cortez Ana began her career with the City of Antioch in Human Resources in 2006. She was assigned as the primary contact for the Police Department for recruitments, benefits and workers’ compensation. After 7 years in Human Resources, she transferred to the Police Department and now works in the capacity of Administrative Analyst III. Ana works in Administration and provides direct support to Chief Brooks and his command staff. She is a member of our Recruiting Team and has extensive knowledge of the recruitment process. He has been a police officer since 2015, starting his career at Belmont PD, where he was involved in the County Gang Task Force. Prior to becoming a police officer, Officer Kendall played professional baseball for four years. Officer Kendall is currently assigned to patrol and is one of our Department’s Crisis Negotiators. You have likely seen Officer Kendall on our Facebook pages before because he loves spending time engaging and encouraging our community. *Meet your Recruiter* CSO Samantha Peterson - [email protected] Samantha (Sam) has worked for Antioch PD for 7 years. She is currently assigned to Administration as the Department’s Training Coordinator. Prior to working in Administration, she was assigned as a jailer for the Temporary Holding Facility at APD. Sam is also one of six Crime Scene Investigators in the Department. In addition to these duties, she is also an Cadet Advisor and member of the Department’s Recruiting Team. In 2016, Sam was voted by her peers as Civilian Employee of the Year. Sam’s favorite part of the job is serving the community and mentoring Cadets, likely because that is how she got her start in law enforcement, serving as a Police Explorer for the Fairfield Police Department before she was hired by Antioch PD.

While in high school, I joined the Antioch Police Department Explorer Program. This developed my passion for LE. I became a Community Services Officer (CSO), where I was afforded the opportunity to work in the APD Jail. While continuing my education, I put myself through the Police Reserve Academy at LMC (Modules I & II) and was hired a...s a Police Reserve. I was hired as full-time Police Officer in 2001 and have served the City of Antioch since. Through hard work and dedication, I have been afforded the opportunity to work a variety of special assignments within the agency. Law Enforcement is a challenging career, but with dedication, the right mindset, and willingness to learn, being an Antioch Police Officer can and has been very rewarding.
