Sarah Aghazedeh, a former graduate student based in SJSU's Anthropology department and an SJSU Salzburg Scholar, completed her PhD in the Department of Communication at the University of Maryland earlier this spring. She recently accepted a tenure-track appointment as an Assistant Professor in the School of Communication & Journalism at Auburn University. Sarah earned her MA in Interdisciplinary Studies under the supervision of Dr. William Reckmeyer, focusing on Global Citizenship, and received SJSU's Outstanding Thesis Award in 2015 for her Public Diplomacy for a Global World: The United States and Iran.
