Covid-19 Update Dear Castro Barber community, As many of you may have already heard, the new ordinances in place require closing down barbershops in Fresno County once again. I will be temporarily closed and currently do not have a tentative date for reopening. I am hoping it is not as long as our first shut down. I would like to thank all of my clients for your continuous support. It was a great pleasure having you in my chair these past few weeks. We will get through this t...ogether. When this is over, I will be here ready to serve. Please know that due to the unpredictable timeline, I have chosen to close my booking calendar. Future appointments will be cancelled by week to help ensure that your already booked future appointments stay in place when we reopen. I am working on ensuring you don't get any notifications or reminders. Changes to Services I am excited to once again be able to serve you. You will notice that on my booking site I only have two services available. Due to the regulations and safety precautions being taken, I will not be providing Facials, Beard Trims or Line Ups until further notice. If you had previously booked an appointment with a service temporarily not being offered, you will receive a notification of the change to your appointment. Re-Opening Plan It is with great pleasure that I announce our REOPENING at Castro Barber on Friday May 29th. Please read this email in its entirety as it includes some important safety precautions required by the CDC and our reopening plan. First and foremost, if you are not feeling well or are exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19 please kindly reschedule your appointment for a later time. You must use face coverings during haircutting and other close contact hair services. Cu...stomers are encouraged to wear face coverings with ear loops, when possible, to ensure the face covering does not interfere with the hair service. Some of the usual amenities offered at my location such as the coffee station and snacks will not be available to help reduce touch points and customer interactions. Please know that you will be asked a few screening questions before your service. If you are exhibiting any symptoms, have been sick, or whether you have been exposed to someone who has been sick, please know that your appointment will be rescheduled for at least 10-14 days later. Please do not bring children or others with you to your appointment unless you are the caregiver of the person receiving the service. Please text me upon your arrival and wait in your vehicle until asked to come in. Please avoid handshakes, hugs or similar greetings that break physical distance. If possible, please pay using a card to promote contactless interaction. Please know that I reserve the right to refuse service should someone refuse to comply with the above protocols. Dear Castro Barber community, I know that these are worrying and trying times for all. I am taking my responsibility to respond the the Coronavirus Pandemic by putting you, my client, first. As a result, my business will remain closed for the entirety of April. Sola Salon Studios along with myself have taken this step as a response to the recommendations made by our officials and the CDC for your safety. If you have an appointment scheduled with me in April, please be aware ...that your appointment will unfortunately be cancelled. My booking site will be available for booking appointments for the month of May. However, please know that the dates available may change as they are determined by our city ordinances. Some of you have asked how you can be of support to myself as well as other small business owners. The best and simplest way to support your Barbers and hairstylists is to wait for us. I wanted to personally reach out to you and share a brief update on the actions that I am proactively taking to support the effort of preventing the spread of the Covid-19 virus. -Cleanliness and sanitization - I have always taken great pride in providing all my guests with a clean hygienic environment, and am now even further emphasizing an increased awareness in my shop for the importance of cleanliness and sanitizing procedures by providing guests with hand sanitizer and... reminding them of the available places to wash their hands. -Snacks/Coffee/Candy Station- In order to help stop the spreading of germs I will temporarily be removing the snack and coffee station, along with the candy jar as it is a high touch point. I appreciate your understanding and am using this as a precautionary method to ensure the safety of all guests. -Cancelling Appointments- While I am currently maintaining regular hours, I do encourage all clients to be vigilant and courteous when feeling "off" or ill. If you are not feeling well, please be mindful and cancel your appointment until you are feeling better. Until further notice I will not be implementing the cancellation fee as long as I am notified. Please be aware that no-show fees are still in place. -Right to Refuse Service- Please know that if you are showing symptoms or are not feeling well during your appointment, I may personally initiate rescheduling your service. Lot’s of hand washing is recommended constantly by the CDC. -Sola Salon Studio Building- Please know that Sola Salon Studios are professionally cleaned. Their vendors have discussed and trained the team cleaners to adhere to all guidelines published by the CDC. -Sola Salon Studios is also providing additional sanitizing of all entry door/areas handles and switches, restroom fixtures and common are surfaces. I will continue to follow updates and protocols recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, local departments of public health, and the World Health Organization to best ensure the safety of my guests.
