Drumming and learning to play, sing, and dance to music definitely maps the brain in orderly ways and may ease the stress nd trauma of life. If you want to change your brain, make music. The effects are easily measurable.
MatLab is very useful in the capture and analysis of auditory evoked potential responses (aEPR, cABR, FFR, etc.). Flexible, fast, and powerful.

Useful article. Thanks to OpenBCI for posting on LinkedIn. Also thank you to the team at UCSF for fine research and another very noteworthy publication.
Definitely interesting and relaxing. Enjoy https://vimeo.com/418540093

Sing and be happier.
A new study from MIT shows clearly that neurofeedback can promote non conscious control of Alpha waves and increase your ability to pay attention. "Although the... subjects were not consciously aware of how they were manipulating their brain waves, they were able to do it, and this success translated into enhanced attention..." There’s a lot of interest in using neurofeedback to try to help people with various brain disorders and behavioral problems, says Robert Desimone, director of MIT’s McGovern Institute for Brain Research. It’s a completely noninvasive way of controlling and testing the role of different types of brain activity. We've empirically know this for 50 years and are delighted the academic community is to continuing to do research like this. Thanks MIT!
