Found a lost corgi. **UPDATE** Reunited with owner.

These two cuties were found running on Foothill in Glendora this morning. They are not chipped and only one of them has a collar on but no tags/info. If you recognize them or know who they belong to please let me know!

It sounds like this rescue has many little dogs to place and it also sounds like they can be placed anywhere. For those of you who have been searching for Yorki...es or other small breeds, you should contact the rescue and see what the situation is. They sound like they really need good homes and fundraising for all these babies. I cannot explain to you on this Friday afternoon exactly why Big Fluffy Dog Rescue has a metric ton* of yorkies other than to say we simply are insane and cannot walk away from bad cases. The fact is I have about 10 little dogs to place this week and all of them came from a craptastic backyard breeding case. In case you are wondering, these are the dogs that almost broke us as we spent $87,000 caring for 30 tiny dogs with gigantic health problems created by irresponsible breeders supported by well-intentioned but clueless people who buy internet puppies. This particular dog is Truly, a 12 year old, 8 pound yorkie. It's hard to say no to a face like this and we didn't. A fun fact is that dogs have 42 teeth in their mouth. She arrived with 18 and we had to extract 12 more, leaving 6 teeth left. She also had mammary masses that were removed and mercifully were benign. This is what happens to dogs who are bred over and over and over. I loathe people who do this to dogs with the fire of the juice of a thousand habanero peppers poured over an open cut. Truly is an adorable little moppet who loves her new life. She is happy, social and friendly with all. She is well mannered and what she wants is a home with people who want a lap dog. That's it. She is in good condition now and has much happiness to experience. This dog is in Nashville and can travel anywhere we do. If your boyfriend or girlfriend doesn't like your dog ~ find another boyfriend or girlfriend. If you're moving out of state ~ be as loyal to your dog as he has been to you. Take him along with you. If you're not willing to commit to a dog for ALL of his life ~ DON'T GET A DOG !! If you STILL refuse to make it work ~ have the decency to reach out to a reputable rescue to intake your family .. their life depends on it. Literally.

I felt guilty about working yesterday, so I took the babies for a walk before leaving. I wanted to show you their cute gifts from Crystal Hrenyk Arnold. One of ...the soldiers that was killed in Afghanistan, Lcpl Dylan R Merola, is being buried tomorrow and there will be a hero procession along the 210 freeway. I’m hoping to go with my flag in support on the overpass, as they come through. Our inland Empire area is organizing this tribute for miles to the burial site. I’m taking the babies in their stroller and going to have them wear these patriotic shirts and JT’s patriotic dress, as well. Hi! My family’s dog Nala, has been missing since Wednesday 9/15/21. She was last seen at The Homecoming at the Preserve Chino before we left for work. You all know, I follow the local rescues in our area and that’s mainly because I’ve watched several friends lose a pet they adored. I love my babies, so my hear...t breaks whenever I hear a story like that. I have never taken part in reuniting an owner with a pet but I always share the lost and found posts on FB. I admire these rescuers who do such a great job of finding pet owners. They are like pet detectives. Today was the first time, I actually experienced what they feel. I was walking a dog for my client and another dog wanted to approach us. I was hesitant because the dog I was walking was 110 pounds. She is quick to want to jump and play but as a pet sitter, you have to be really careful. The unleashed dog was medium sized. Really pretty dog but I had to stay away from her to keep them both safe. I took my clients dog home and was heading out, when I saw the same beautiful dog, in the middle of a busier street. I pulled over to the side of the road and she came running to me, very anxious and crying. I was able to take a quick video of her but just as I started to take the video, a lady came out of her house. I wanted to ask her if it was her dog, so you’ll see a quick clip of how pretty this little girl is and then I had to turn it off. The lady knew who the owner was and I was able to go knock on her door. It was 6:30 AM and I was afraid she wouldn’t hear me but eventually she came to the door. It was her dog! I was so relieved that she was able to be returned to her owner. Now, I understand what these rescuers feel when they reunite a dog with their owner. It is truly an amazing feeling! just remember, you can make a difference and save the dogs life by just taking a few minutes to help. See more

WHAT DO FOCAL SEIZURES LOOK LIKE? THIS IS JAXIE’S story I am dog sitting for my daughter while she is in Sturgis. JAX had a serious injury the day before they... left. We have no clue what happened but he had been impaled on something and there was a 3 inch deep and quarter size round wound. I took him to the emergency vet hospital and they operated on his wound. Obviously, this was traumatic for him. JAX is deaf and has focal seizures and he suffers, extreme anxiety. It’s painful to watch sometimes. JAX was at the rescue for the first year of his life. Nobody wanted a deaf dog, especially one with seizures. My daughter decided to take him home and because she has two other dogs about the same size, he learned the routine from them. It really took an entire year to get him settled down. It was a lot of work because of his high anxiety, he would chew, dig, and run in circles, barking and snapping at invisible flies. Any change will throw him off. Sometimes, traveling away from the home is very upsetting to him. While we were waiting at the vet, in my car, he was barking and whining the entire time. He’s a very, very sweet dog but he requires a great deal of patience and empathy. Since his day at the hospital, his focal seizures are twice as bad. Much of it has to do with his mom and dad being gone on vacation, so I have been sleeping out in the living room to keep all the dogs company. This is a video of what focal seizures might look like. Symptoms like running, barking and snapping at the air, are strong symptoms. He takes Neurontin and CBD oil when he’s having bad episodes like this.
