Reiki (pronounced ray- key) is a Japanese technique that promotes healing. Reiki is administered by laying on hands. Channeling the Universal Life Force Energy. Focusing the energy through the hands and allowing the life force energy to flow from the hands to all areas of the body. Rei- means universal, higher knowledge or spiritual conscience, wisdom that comes from God or the higher self.... Ki- means life ENERGY, universal life force. As long as something is alive, it has life energy circulating through it and surrounding it. Ki flows through within the physical body through pathways called chakras and meridians. It also flows around us in a field of energy called aura. The free and balanced flow of Ki is the cause of health. When a person receives a Reiki treatment the Rei of the energy assesses where the person has blocks and then directs the healing energy to the block. When the block is released a person's Ki will flow naturally, the physical organs and tissues are then able to complete their healing process
