Little Smokey Joe has had some amazing support from this loving, Animals In Need Fund community and it hurts to share this news. This week has been a hard one. SJ began having seizures and his foster mom saw a defined decline in his quality of life. Although SJ's little life and his capabilities were different from any other kitten we've ever had in our care before, we saw great potential for this very special-needs kitty. That is, until he told us otherwise. It was an agoni...zing decision to say goodbye, but we feel grateful to have had him cross our path. We learned so much having him in our lives and consider ourselves the lucky ones. The year 2020 has been a doozy, but SJ was the brightest of lights and taught us the importance of perseverance, bravery and above all....love. There are no regrets when it comes to trying to help an animal in need. And the next time you hear a piece of foil crinkle, please think of SJ....as his little head is surely bobbling with excitement. -libby See more

A big thank you to his rescuer Crystal for getting Zeto and his siblings to safety, to his foster mom Janelle for giving him oodles of TLC over these past months and to the Rodriguez Family for choosing to save a life and adopt this special silver guy!
