The magazine is creating its first "best" services in Carlsbad and we would be honored if you would visit www.carlsbadlifestylepubs.com and nominate Animal House Pet Care for "Best Dog Care" (the last entry in list).... We know you all as pet lovers and/or pet care clients and would appreciate your taking a few minutes to nominate us........We are a smaller, highly personalized business so every single nomination counts.......only one nomination per email address (maybe you have more than one address?).....Thank you so much!

Have you ever heard about or used Bach flower essences? They are made for both humans and animals, and they can really help pets with emotional needs. Many companies utilize flower essences in their products, but Dr. Bach was the original creator of flower essences. How do flower essences differ from essential oils? Flower essences are made by transferring the energy of the plant into water, and then preserving this essence in alcohol. You can't really use "too much" of an e...ssence, as the animal will respond to the frequency of the energy for healing, and some animals need more or less of the flower essence. You can use them many times throughout the day. In contrast, essential oils are distilled, and the steam pulls the oils out of the plant. They are far more concentrated. Like flower essences, essential oils each have a frequency that the animal will respond to. Because of the high potency of essential oils, you must be more careful when using them for animals and should begin slowly to see if the animal is comfortable with them. They can have amazing results, but if you are nervous about how to use them, we recommend beginning with flower essences. You can use flowers essences to pet your animal, in drinking water, or directly into their mouth. Read this article for some great additional information!

Table scraps and other human foods: good or bad for your pets? Read to find out! This article is written by Rodney Habib, pet health blogger and public figure. He travels around the world to find veterinarians and researchers who are unbiased and do their best to figure out how best to feed cats and dogs. He got started when his dog was diagnosed with cancer years ago, and he wanted answers to how he could reverse it and prevent other animals from getting cancer too. This guy is a great resource and has his own Facebook page. Check him out at Planet Paws: https://m.facebook.com/PlanetPaws.ca/
