This is just a friendly reminder that our office will close today at 2 pm and will remain closed until Monday, January 4th. Next week we will resume normal business hours as usual. Ready for your Christmas miracle? Does everyone remember Doc? We posted about him a little while back. He survived parvo, but still had a bum leg. An employee gave him a forever home and he got his leg amputated on Monday morning. This morning he came in for a recheck and he is doing SO WELL!!! Dr. Taylor and our office manager Jody did an amazing job giving him great pain control and amputating his leg in the easiest way possible. He feels like a new dog, can amazingly move around even better, and is such a happy boy!

We would like our clients to know that on Wednesday, 12/23, we will be closing for a staff holiday party at lunch time. Our doors will be closed and the phones will be off from 11:30 am-1:30 pm only. Thank you for understanding and letting our staff celebrate the holidays together!

Season's Greetings to All Our Wonderful Clients! This has been such a challenging year for everyone and we at Animal Hospital of the Sierra wish you and your loved ones a time of holiday peace and renewal after all we have been through. Our animal friends have helped us get through these difficult months and we are dedicated to helping you keep your pets healthy and happy. For the week of Christmas we are open regular hours, Monday-Wednesday. We will close at 2pm on Thursday,... Christmas Eve, and will be closed Christmas Day, Saturday, and Sunday. For the week of New Year's we have a similar schedule, open regular hours Monday-Wednesday, but closing at 2pm on Thursday, New Year's Eve. We will be closed New Year's Day, Saturday, and Sunday. If you have an emergency with your pet during the days we are closed, please contact Fresno Vet Specialty and Emergency 559-451-0800 or Fresno Pet ER 559-437-3766. If you need a medication refill for your pet, please submit your medication refill requests by 2pm on Monday December 21st to have medications available for pick up before we close for Christmas and by 2pm on Monday December 28th to have medications available for pick up before we close for New Years. Our hospital has been very busy lately, so we haven’t had time to introduce our pet of the week in a while! Meet Confetti and Moon!! These babies came to the vet hospital in mid September. Someone found them in the bushes, realized they had no mommy, and brought them in right away! With the amazing help of our staff members Betsy and Alex, these babies were able to be bottle fed and raised until they were good to go to a home! The staff saw these babies almost every day and fell in love. Two staff members couldn’t help themselves and took them home! Now both babies are in loving homes with young children and get to run around and be kittens! Thank you Betsy and Alex for raising these adorable babies!

All we want for Christmas is...to find miss Little Bit a home! Little Bit is an 8 yr old, spayed domestic shorthair. She was a surrender to our hospital. She is a diabetic, and her owners were elderly and weren’t able to take care of her. She requires insulin twice a day, but does amazing at it and is controlled on a small dose. She is such an amazing cuddler and just wants to follow her owner and be with people. If you aren’t able to adopt, please share! She is such a great kitty and we would love to see her in an amazing home! Serious inquiries only please!
