Ready for a weekend rest

Hello everyone, as you know we are opening on Monday, today I came in to try and schedule the 94 messages I had so far just to receive 53 new messages. Needless to say I'm a bit overwhelmed. I'm asking everyone to please call next week to schedule with my receptionist because I'm ready to pull out my gray rooted hair. I apologize that I cannot get back to everyone but we will do our best next week to return more calls. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

Unless something changes AGAIN we will be opening on Monday May 18th. We will be scheduling appts on Thurs and Friday for next week. The 1st appts will go to those who originally had appts before we had to shut down, next it will go by messages that were first received and the order that they were received. Please be understanding of this process. Also please read the new protocols below this message. We look forward to seeing all of you and your pets, we have missed you all so much!

New protocols for our customers. For the safety of your pets, you and our staff we will NOT be doing curbside pick up. It is too risky. There has been cases of dogs getting loose, slipping their collars and running off. It also puts you and our staff closer than six feet. You will be able to enter our store but it will be chained off 3 feet from the inside of the door. There will be slip leads provided by us which you will place on your pet and then remove your own person...al collar and leash to take with you. The lead will be attached to a large carbiner clip on the fence. Once you leave we will then retrieve your pet. When we call you to inform you that your pet is ready we will appreciate your prompt pick up. You will call us when you get in the parking lot and we will then place your dog back where you first attached it. Do not forget to bring your own leash back in. Once we are back behind our gate you can enter and pick up your pet. If another customer is in the store please wait for them to exit giving them at least a six foot distance from the door. Unfortunately since we are not set up with any type of debit/credit card machine that conforms to social distancing rules, we can only accept checks or cash at this time. There will be a container by the door for you to put your payment in which we will retrieve once you are safely outside the door. Believe me when I say that I realize this "New Normal" is not the way we want it but we have to follow state guidelines for everyone's safety. Our staff will not touch each others equipment which will be sanitized between each pet and cages will also be sanitized between pets. Please let us know when you make your appointment what kind of shape your pet is in so we can allow the sufficient amount of time. We do expect some matted pets due to the amount of time its been between grooming. Please expect your pet to be shaved if regular brushing has not occurred. We are all new to these new rules but hopefully with your understanding we will get through this with little inconvienence. We look forward to seeing you soon. To our customers, all of us at Animal Arts will take all precautionary measures to keep you safe. You will soon get instructions here and when you make your appt. All staff will be educated on the Covid 19 guidelines and safety procedures. Hopefully we will start seeing you the week of the 18th.

Be Kind As governors are trying to figure out how to ease back into a new normal, please remember: Some people don’t agree with the state opening.... that’s okay. Be kind. Some people are still planning to stay at home.... that’s okay. Be kind.... Some are still scared of getting the virus and a second wave happening....that’s okay. Be kind. Some are sighing with relief to go back to work knowing they may not lose their business or their homes....that’s okay. Be kind. Some are thankful they can finally have a surgery they have put off....that’s okay. Be kind. Some will be able to attend interviews after weeks without a job....that’s okay. Be kind. Some will wear masks for weeks....that’s okay. Be kind. Some people will rush out to get the hair or nails done.... that’s okay. Be kind. The point is, everyone has different viewpoints/feelings and that’s okay. Be kind. We each have a different story. If you need to stay home, stay home. But be kind. If you need to go out, just respect others when in public and be kind! Don’t judge fellow humans because you’re not in their story. We all are in different mental states than we were months ago. How we miss you all, hoping and praying we will be opening soon. I know there are many pups out there in dire need of grooming. When we open we will be doing curbside pick up just as the vets do. We will also be sanitizing all equipment between pets. As soon as we get the opening date we will be taking appts several days ahead of time. We will keep you posted as we find out more. Hang in there!

To my customers: we are very sorry we are not allowed to help you with your pets grooming and may not be for awhile due to the virus. Please help your pet out by brushing them regularly to keep them comfortable. It's very uncomfortable for a dog when it gets matted. We miss you all and hope to be opening again soon.
