Happy Thanksgiving! What a year this has been. From moving locations, closing due to a pandemic a week later and remaining closed for months. It was definitely not the kind of year I was expecting. But we have persevered, helped our neighbors and elderly pick up groceries, entertained on social media, been a support for those who contacted the virus and those who’s loved ones lost their lives from it. There has been some division by some, but I’m glad to see the desire for ...unity, love and community is greater than the hate and fear some have tried to manifest in others. As we go into the holiday season. My hope for you is that you release any fear and pride that you hold onto and instead you are filled with joy, compassion and humility. Thank you for your continued support in my business. For showing me respect by following safety guidelines and helping keep my family, other clients and myself safe this year. Hello all! I’ve received several messages this weekend asking if I am accepting new clients. Yes, I am! The good thing about working with post op is that once you are feeling well and have recovered it allows me to offer that time up for others who are starting or in the middle of their recovery journey. But you have to plan ahead. I typically book out 2 weeks solid. Yes, there are occasions in which I get a cancellation, but that is few and far between and you truly have t...o be flexible to snag the spot. If you go online and the month is fully booked (like now) swipe to the next month. My calendar is available for booking UP TO 30 days in advance. And in home is booked 30 days IN ADVANCED. So if 30 days out opens and there are already appointments, more than likely there is a standing appointment at that time or someone has prebooked a series whether in home or in suite. How do I get this on my Instagram? Video 1) Don’t ever do this. Especially after surgery! Video 2) I don’t like these harsh brushes for the face. And the over pulling and over stretching drives me nuts especially when they tag #manuallymphaticdrainage (as far as I know, this video wasn’t claiming that) but it is often on insta it Tik tok Other tools that I don’t recommend for the face are gua sha (stop it! Seriously unless you want to accelerate aging) and cups (because peopl...e suck and drag). If you use facial cups, suck and release. Suck and release. Stop dragging stuff across your skin (Take it from a woman over 40years of age. I have never had Botox, fillers, face fat grafting, or any other cosmetic medial procedures including co2, hydra facial, etc. Like seriously, I’ve never done anything to my face other than gentle cleansing and fine sugar scrub.... and I get regularly am mistaken as a 20-30year old) So that’s my advice and why you should listen, not to mention I’m obsessed with the #lymphaticsytem and why you shouldn’t damage it.

I had so much fun this past week that it almost didn’t feel like work. I’m thankful that my client encouraged us to get out and go for a walk/hike every morning, go sight seeing, mostly scenic drives to stay socially distanced, enjoy our down time, made sure we tried some really wonderful local restaurants and spend time out of our work clothes. She said I’m not going to pay you to sit around and wait for me to ring a bell when I need you. I need each of you to be well rest...ed, feel your best and be happy when you provide your service. She really understands the value of work/life balance. I need to do the same now that I’m back home. I know I didn’t get back to some of you right away... or yet. I will get back into the swing of things this week and reach out to those I haven’t yet. I’ve also decided not to work myself to exhaustion. Thank you to all who value my time and talent. It is because of you that I strive to work more and be available as much as I can for you. But it’s not healthy for me or my family life. This week I’m resetting that. I look forward to coming back to central coast for several weekends. I wouldn’t do this full time, but it’s nice to have a change of scenery, even if it’s for work. Also, this is probably the last LA client I will be accepting. Unless the next one offers to buy me a house up here lol. I’m excited to see many of you again, I feel like I’ve been gone for a month. Men and women do so much research into the surgeon they will choose for surgery, but many stop there. Some surgeons say you just need time to heal. While that is true, there are options to aid in healing post op. These are what I highly recommend. 1) Post op Manual Lymphatic Drainage. If this is done properly, it can be done 1 day post op and does not hurt at all!!! -Schedule 2-3 per week for 2 weeks, then 1-2 for weeks 3-?? Depends on your surgery.... 2) Vitamin infusions... really great to do after some MLD treatments. -1 per week for 2-4 weeks 3) Hyperbaric Chamber - 1 per week for 2-4 weeks Scheduling these sessions (especially MLD) before you go in for surgery is an absolute must. There is a shortage of trained and skilled professionals that offer manual lymphatic drainage. So finding a therapist you trust and are comfortable with will take time, just as it did to find your surgeon. I hope that one day there will be as many MLD therapist as there are surgeons to choose from... I know this sounds like it would hurt my business, but it won’t, because the more people know about the benefits the more surgeons will include it in their Pre/post op care and the happier you will be during the recovery process. So please keep that in mind when considering plastic surgery...do all of your homework and research and add the cost for all the services above with your surgery costs AND post op garments and supplements. Quick lunchtime dry brush on face video. This is sped up 4x. I’ll upload the full version to my YouTube you can follow along. I used my blush brush since I never use it anymore. You can use anything as long as it’s clean and isn’t too rough on the skin. I prefer my fingers, but you can’t see my movements that well unless I exaggerate. I don’t use gua sha tool for my face because I’m old and I don’t want to stretch my skin so much and I want to target my lymphatic system. Got home from an eventful weekend in LA this weekend and felt exhausted. I decided to hang around for a bit to help my lower extremities drain to my cisterna chyli. Doing aerial silks also encourages deep breathing which helps my lymph system stay fully functioning. Now to do some headstands before I shower and get ready to turn in.
