Caspian KR & Sabio went to the first dressage show of the year in June. Christiane Noelting Dressage Center hosted a wonderful show, managing the new COVID-19 restrictions well. The boys were an absolute joy to work with and be around. From hauling, to flags, to heat, they took it all in stride. Caspian was successful in his first dressage show, with a high score of 66.4 at Third level test 3, and won 3 of his classes. ... Sabio had his second outing at Fourth level. He got blue ribbons in all of his classes with a high score of 69.2 in Fourth level test 2. We were very sorry that Sabio’s owner, Susan Moyer, was unable to come watch her boy work. She was stuck at home in Arizona due to COVID-19. We missed you!!

Caspian KR on his 9th birthday.

October was a very busy month for the ARD crew! Starting with a clinic at Dancing Kings Andalusians in Gilroy with Juan Matute, Angela and Caspian had a very tough, but great two days. He pushed them just out of their comfort zone, with great results. The following weekend was at Yarra Yarra Equestrian with Mette Rosencrantz. Angela and Sabio enjoyed her very detail oriented exercises that produced wonderful results. Mette is so invested in every lesson, horse, and rider ...that it is a joy to work with her. On the next weekend, Angela and Sabio went to Petaluma to work with Laura Graves, despite the fires that were threatening the area. They were only able to work on the first day, but there were so many take aways that it was completely worth it. Unfortunately, it was necessary to evacuate Sunday morning, so the second day was cancelled. See more
