Had fun attending a great natural hoof care workshop with some great professionals in Garner Valley. It was presented by Hannah McCargar. A student from the Association for The Advancement of Natural Horse Care Practitioners and studied with the Equine Sciences Academy and mentor with hoof care practitioners around the USA. She is a wealth of knowledge.

Some of last weeks shoeing. Really like how some horses have such pronounced frogs for that extra support.

Notice the actual bottom of the hoof. A lot going on here. Rescue from So Cal Mini Horse Sanctuary.

Before and a few shoeings after. Notice the foot is more underneath the horse. Has less leverage more heel support. Easier for performance horses to make the swift movements/patterns in their discipline.

Trauma to the hair line still healing. And a white line infection that is dried up and growing out.
