As I mentioned last week, the overall real estate market is showing more signs of peaking this season. There is still plenty good selling season left however. The next seasonal dip in the market will come in the 2nd, and 3rd week of August. This is the back to school effect. Please call me with any of your real estate needs. Thank you. http://www.cnbc.com//mortgage-applications-to-both-buy-and

We have had a great real estate season, that is continuing to move forward. In the short term however, the market looks to be peaking. This phenomenon tends to happen in the month of July, and this year is no exception. Don't get me wrong, there are still good selling months remaining in the year. From here, we are likely to see slow declines for the remainder of this year. Let me know if you have any questions. http://www.cnbc.com//existing-home-sales-for-june-2016-rel

Great Britain's decision to leave the European Union have caused interest rates to drop. Just when you think rates can't go lower, they do. Consider if doing a refinance would make sense for you. The national average for 30 year fixed rate is 3.34%. Of course this also makes a home purchase more affordable. This will be a tail wind for the house market moving forward.

Wells Fargo is offering a low down payment mortgage, with less red tape. This could be a good opportunity for those with little money for their down payment. If you are looking to buy, or sell your home, please give me a call. http://www.cnbc.com//wells-fargo-launches-3-down-payment-m

With the Holidays getting close, we enter the seasonal real estate off season. As we do this, the over all market looks good. 2016 has been a strong year for real estate values. One word of caution is interest rates. Since the conclusion of the Presidential election, rates have increased quickly. If this is a sign of more to come, mortgage payments will be increasing for would be Buyers. Contact me if you would like more information on this. Have a great Thanksgiving!

Currently we are seeing demand pick up in the real estate market. This is following the back to school slowdown we see every year. I believe this surge is due to people who still want to buy this year, and want to get the deal done before the holidays. The holidays, including Jan & Feb, are seasonally real estates slowest time of the year. http://www.cnbc.com//buyers-in-the-west-drive-home-sales-u

We have had a great selling season, but it isn't over yet. Year to date the median home price has increased 10%! Some people may feel we have moved up too far, too fast. We have, but I feel confident we have not entered another destructive market bubble. That being said, next year we will likely have a more modest gain. Which I feel would be healthy for the long term. Let me know if you would like more information. http://www.cnbc.com//stop-it-there-is-no-national-housing-
