To continue highlighting citrus season, here's a bowl full of freshly picked rain-washed Bearss limes. Yes, most limes yellow then they are ripe. Many limes sold in stores are picked green and immature. When left to ripen longer on the tree, limes get juicier, sweeter and less acidic. . #limes #bearsslime #limeharvest #citruslove #citrus

'Pink Lemonade' loaded up with fruit! Also known as Variegated Pink Lemon, she's a Eureka, making them higher in acid than your Meyers. I love having Eureka lemons around as they bear throughout the entire year, have big fruit which are good for marinades, dressings, cooking, zesting, and even drinks (although Meyers are preferable for cocktails and sweets). This guy has been in the ground a few years and so far has performed and tasted just like a Eureka... with some extra... personality! . Curious how other folks have experienced this guy long term. Lmk in comments! Look, don't touch. Agave, a plant of symmetry. I love how the spines of the older leaves tattoo the emerging ones with perfect patterns. . Also agaves are pollinated by one of my favorite animals, bats... and they create some of my favorite beverages, mescal and tequila.

After months of cancelling, rescheduling and adjusting with covid, we had a small elopement ceremony Sunday with our immediate families on a property Jonathan has worked as restoration ecologist. . Our office will be closed through the 20th while we take a mini fall national park roadtrip. Stay safe, healthy and sane my friends! Ipe deck, fun roof angles and ocean views... This house is finally becoming a home as construction is nearing the finish line with @naylorconstruction. This morning we are placing boulders and spotting plants and I can't wait to show you all what we've got going on here. Stay tuned! . Love it when projects have beautiful existing elements to work around. This mosaic keyhole fountain is sending me back to Spain and Morocco and I dig it. Still processing the virtual APLD conference (I somehow juggled in ) last week and weekend. I was honestly a bit unsure how @landscapedesigners was going to pull it off virtually - but the combo of excellent speakers and virtual tours with the social component seamlessly woven in - (thanks to the @attendify app) made it a great success! It was such a treat seeing so many of your faces, sharing knowledge and laughs. Cheers to the conference committee for pulling it off beautifully and to all the amazing speakers and sponsors for coming together. I look forward to watching the talks I missed later this fall. #iamapld
