A Rosenmontag program for the day. https://fb.watch/3Gtdiy_TrM/
And a few more...
A few highlight of today' parade
Something to watch.
Today we celebrate Karneval Sunday and Valentine's day. Tomorrow is Rosenmontag. Our favorite day of the year. We wish you a wonderful Sunday and Monday.
Some distanced Karneval activity in Köln.
Perfect. Thank you for the tips.
Wir singen Alaaf, vielleicht ein bisschen stiller. https://youtu.be/COVxO1x-dBA
Life without Karneval is totally pointless. Hiw are you celebrating today?
Some things are just not the same. Today many of our German friends and relatives are celebrating 11.11 the start of the new Karneval season. However this year, thanks to the pandemic, there will be no colorful costumed Jecke gathering in the Marktplatz. They are forced to celebrate at home in a quieter way, much like us Fasching fans do here in the US. Get out your pappnase.
One day and it will be 11.11
Here is the 11.11 plan for Köln.
We are optimistic that 2021 will be a great year! Hopefully dancing will be phased back in. Mark your calendars for these events. We all need a little fun! Of course we will recognize all COVID-19 restrictions and safety guidelines that are in place when these events take place.
Well, no one can claim Germans don't have a sense of humor. "It has no helmet..."
We have a new date! Please join us for a Nostalgic Evening and the Proclamation of our new Prinzenpaar! Dinner and Entertainment is included. Social distancing and all COVID-19 regulations will be adhered to. Karneval will come anyway it can. We hope to see you on November 14th!
Reminder, AKG meeting on Wednesday. 10/14 7:00PM Oh ... Shi*, Virus What a piece of crap ... What the heck ... "We will stay Jeck."... We will not let our heads hang, and will conquer this guy." We continue to fight..." at some point things will continue. This is what we'll show the fools, that our hearts continue to stay proud ... of our customs, fun, costumes and when we are back on stage, taking the floor which means so much to us, The "fool's fun" in every city, Then we will greet the people... and "all" have fun again. We won't let ourselves be unhappy... Because we love our traditions ... a sad fool "- by Michael Sander See more
Karneval cannot happen in 2021 as it has in the past. But there is the necessary creativity and energy to proceed with a Karneval that will respect the pandemic restrictions. This cultural celebration has weathered many events in the past and will do so this year as well. Translate: No large events (Sitzungen) and no parades.
Sharing Brings live from the studio...
Won't work...won't work. Another Parade has cancelled for Karneval week in Cologne. But they admit that there will be some activity. Just safely. To date the Rosenmontagzug has not been cancelled. let's hope things continue to improve.
"The great old city of Cologne, as it called itself in that period (1823), approaches its irrationality with deliberation and disdains to blindly jump into it like a careless youngster of sixteen." We still await what the Committee has decided about this season... Anaheim is also hopeful...
