Happy New Year's Eve! As we wrap up 2020 and head into 2021, we want to give you a few tips to ensure that you and everyone around you has a safe and fun evening. -Host a household celebration: Rather than inviting guests to your home or going out for NYE, opt to celebrate with members of your household. -Host a celebration online.... -Don't use fireworks: Large fireworks are best left up to the professionals, and setting them off yourself is illegal in some areas. -Practice pet safety: Loud noises can frighten pets. Be sure to keep an eye on your animals to help them remain calm during celebrations. You can do this by keeping your pets inside, in a comfortable room, with comforting music playing to drown out loud noises. Have a fun and safe New Years!

OVERNIGHT: Firefighters rescued a person trapped on the 2nd story of burning home on Skyline Boulevard. The fire was knocked down, and crews remained on scene f...or several hours. One person was hospitalized. Thank you to the life-saving neighbor/tenant who called 911. As crews were performing the second story rescue, the first floor was filled with thick smoke. Crews kept the fire from spreading to vegetation. #SkylineFire Firefighters from San Mateo County, Kings Mountain, Woodside, and Redwood City were on scene. The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office also assisted. See more

AMR (as a part of Global Medical Response) is celebrating EMS Week October 25th- 31st. Nationally, EMS Week is celebrated each May, but everything is a bit different this year. We postponed our celebration to October hoping we would be able to gather our teams together to recognize them, but that is still not possible at this time. We are thanking our providers this year with EMS Week T-Shirts and meals and snacks throughout the week.
